Wooden Flooring vs Tiles - Which is Better? In humid, coastal or monsoon regions real wood can expand, contract, warp or gap, while tiles are far less sensitive to moisture and temperature.

FAQs
What Defines The Chestnut Brown Floral Marquetry Design?
This ceramic tile combines a chestnut-brown wood-effect field with a symmetrical white floral motif formed from curved leaves and a central four-petal bloom. The square border supports a framed marquetry-inspired layout when repeated. Wood and marquetry describe visual effects only; the product is ceramic rather than natural timber, wood veneer, handcrafted marquetry, or a solid wooden tile.
What Size Is Each Tile And How Much Does A Pack Cover?
Each tile measures 300x300mm, and one pack contains eleven pieces. Based on the nominal dimensions, a pack covers approximately 0.99 square metres before waste. The final quantity should include allowances for site measurements, perimeter cuts, motif alignment, breakage, and spare pieces. Confirm the manufacturer’s stated coverage and ask the installer to calculate the complete requirement before ordering.
Where Can This Inlay-Style Tile Be Used?
The tile is listed for both floor and wall use and may be considered for suitable residential or commercial interiors. Final suitability depends on its floor-use rating, expected traffic, substrate, moisture exposure, and installation conditions. Review the technical specifications before choosing it for kitchens, bathrooms, entrances, balconies, or demanding commercial floors, since its design and finish cannot confirm every application independently.
Is Carving Matt Suitable For Wet Floors?
A carving matt finish alone does not establish slip resistance or confirm suitability for wet flooring. Before selecting this tile for bathrooms, utility areas, balconies, or other moisture-prone locations, verify its tested slip-resistance rating, surface profile, and recommended application. Waterproofing, drainage slopes, compatible adhesive, suitable grout, and professional installation should also be planned according to the expected water exposure.
How Should The Floral Marquetry Pattern Be Arranged?
Dry-position several tiles before installation to review how the chestnut-colored frames repeat and how the white floral motifs align. Maintain consistent orientation for a regular grid, or test planned rotations if another composition is intended. Establish reference lines, examine perimeter cuts, and confirm the manufacturer’s recommended grout-joint width before applying adhesive to the flat and correctly prepared substrate.
How Should This Ceramic Tile Be Installed?
Install the tile over a flat, clean, stable, and correctly prepared substrate using an adhesive suitable for ceramic tiles, the receiving surface, and the intended application. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance for adhesive coverage, joint width, curing, and grouting. A qualified installer should monitor motif alignment and perimeter cuts while providing movement joints wherever required by project conditions and applicable installation standards.
How Should This Carving Matt Tile Be Maintained?
Clean the installed surface using water, a soft mop or cloth, and a mild cleaner recommended for ceramic tiles and grout. Use a soft brush where necessary to remove residue from the surface detailing. Avoid strong acids, abrasive powders, metal scrubbers, and unsuitable sealers. Test unfamiliar cleaning products on a small, inconspicuous area before applying them across the complete surface.
Q: Which material for kitchen dado tiles? A: Ceramic, porcelain and vitrified all work; porcelain/vitrified generally have lower water absorption, but check the specific tile's specification near sink or hob.
9 Kitchen Dado Tile Ideas That Make Plain Cabinets Look More PremiumQ: Are wooden-look wall tiles waterproof? A: Usually ceramic or vitrified, so suitable for bathrooms, kitchen backsplashes and selected balcony walls depending on product and installation; they do not warp like wood.
9 Wall Tile Designs That Make Simple Homes Look LuxuriousQ: Which tiles are best for bedroom flooring? A: Wooden finish, vitrified or terrazzo tiles; durable, easy to clean and cosy.
Middle Class Bedroom Design IdeasQ: Are 3D tiles good for kitchen walls? A: Use them as an accent in low-splash areas, not directly behind cooking zones or across the whole wall.
Top Kitchen Tile Designs for Indian HomesQ: What backsplash works with white cabinets? A: A similar light shade gives a coordinated look; beige, grey or a stronger colour adds contrast. Check the countertop's colour and undertone too.
Kitchen Tiles: Should Your Backsplash Match the Countertop or Cabinets?Q: How to choose a backsplash for grey cabinets? A: Identify if the grey is warm or cool; white/off-white contrasts, related greys give a tonal look. Compare cabinet, countertop and tile samples together.
