What those guides say
Matching the dado to the countertop tone makes counter and dado read as one surface, e.g. warm beige counter with beige marble-look dado.
9 Kitchen Dado Tile Ideas That Make Plain Cabinets Look More PremiumFor marble-look countertops with large veining choose satin or Lappato finish; full polish shows scratches more easily in a kitchen.
7 Kitchen Countertop Ideas for Modern Modular KitchensReal marble is porous, prone to etching and needs careful maintenance, which is why engineered or porcelain marble-look tops are popular.
7 Kitchen Countertop Ideas for Modern Modular KitchensNatural marble can stain or etch from acids, oils, cosmetics and hard water and may need sealing; marble-look porcelain or vitrified is easier in kitchens and bathrooms with a textured finish on wet floors.
Perfect Marble Tile Designs for Floors and Walls of Modern HomesMarble finishes: polished for living rooms, halls and entry; honed (matt) for bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms; sandblasted for grip outdoors, balconies and pathways; fluted for feature walls.
Perfect Marble Tile Designs for Floors and Walls of Modern HomesMarble layouts: straight lay, diamond, herringbone, chevron, French pattern and bookmatched slabs for feature walls and foyers.
Perfect Marble Tile Designs for Floors and Walls of Modern HomesIvory epoxy grout suits cream, beige, travertine-look and marble-look tiles for a continuous, calm look.
6 Epoxy Grout Colour Ideas That Can Influence the Look of Your TilesGlossy light-toned vitrified (white, ivory, pale beige) helps dim or north-facing apartment rooms; clean with microfibre mop and avoid coarse tools.
8 Vitrified Tile Flooring Ideas for Modern Indian HomesMatt vitrified in warm grey, dusty beige or off-white suits minimal interiors and shows dust and footprints less than high gloss.
8 Vitrified Tile Flooring Ideas for Modern Indian HomesDual-tone flooring: light base tile with darker border or inset to define a dining zone or frame an entry door; keep both tones in one colour family, as high-contrast black-white feels busy in small rooms.

FAQs
What Does The Cirrus Grey Marble Design Look Like?
Code40638 has a pale grey-white background crossed by fine, softly defined grey veins. The markings generally follow a vertical direction, with occasional branching and tonal changes that prevent the surface from appearing completely uniform. Its matt finish reduces strong reflections, allowing the light base and subtle marble-inspired movement to remain visible under different interior lighting conditions.
Is Cirrus Grey Tile Made From Natural Marble?
No. Code40638 is manufactured from vitrified material and carries a marble-inspired surface design. It is not cut from natural marble and should not be classified as a natural stone slab. The pale base and grey veining reproduce a visual effect associated with marble. Review a physical sample to assess the finish, color, vein scale, and pattern variation before ordering.
Where Can Cirrus Grey Marble Tile Be Used?
The tile is specified for floor and wall applications. Its restrained grey design can be considered for living rooms, bedrooms, entrances, feature walls, selected floor areas, reception spaces, and coordinated commercial interiors. Placement should account for traffic, moisture, substrate, and maintenance conditions. Verify the applicable technical ratings before choosing it for exterior, demanding, or frequently wet settings.
What Size And Pack Coverage Does Code40638 Provide?
Each tile measures 600x1200mm, and every pack contains two pieces. One tile has a nominal area of 0.72 sq m, so a full pack provides approximately 1.44 sq m of nominal coverage. This amount excludes cutting, breakage, layout adjustments, and wastage. Measure the full installation area and include the additional quantity recommended for the site and chosen layout.
What Does The Matt Finish Add To The Design?
The matt finish produces less surface reflection than a glossy finish, helping the pale background and fine grey veining appear soft and restrained. Its appearance may still change with lighting direction and viewing angle. Matt describes the surface sheen; it does not independently establish slip resistance, wet-area suitability, durability level, or performance for a particular floor or wall environment.
Is This Matt Tile Suitable For Wet Floors?
A matt finish does not by itself confirm slip resistance or suitability for wet floors. Before installing Code40638 in bathrooms, kitchens, entrances, or other moisture-prone areas, check the documented slip rating and relevant technical requirements. Suitable waterproofing, drainage, substrate preparation, adhesives, grout, movement joints, and professional installation methods may also be necessary for the intended environment.
How Should Cirrus Grey Tile Be Installed And Cleaned?
Dry-lay several pieces before installation to review vein direction, tonal distribution, grout width, and edge cuts. Use adhesives, levelling methods, and movement joints suited to the substrate and application. For cleaning, remove loose grit before wiping with a soft mop or cloth and a mild tile-compatible cleaner. Avoid abrasive products and follow the manufacturer’s care instructions for the matt surface.
