FAQs
What Does The Mineral Grey Marble Design Look Like?
Code40629 combines pale and medium grey tones with cloudy mineral-like movement, soft circular forms, and faint linear markings. Small warm undertones keep the surface from appearing completely cool or uniform. The overall pattern remains low in contrast, while the glossy finish reflects surrounding light and makes the layered grey variation more noticeable from different viewing positions.
What Does Endless Mean For Code40629?
Endless refers to a pattern designed to continue visually between tiles when the supplied pieces are arranged in the recommended order and orientation. It does not create a joint-free surface or eliminate tile boundaries. Grout lines, tile edges, pattern tolerances, and installation joints remain visible, so the tiles should be dry-laid and checked before permanent fixing begins.
Is Mineral Grey Tile Made From Natural Marble?
No. Code40629 is manufactured from vitrified material and carries a marble or mineral-inspired decorative surface. It is not cut from natural marble and should not be classified as a natural stone slab. Review a physical sample before ordering to assess the actual grey color, glossy finish, pattern scale, tonal variation, and appearance under the lighting planned for the room.
Where Can Mineral Grey Marble Tile Be Used?
The product is specified for floor and wall applications. Its low-contrast grey design can be considered for living areas, entrances, feature walls, selected floor areas, reception spaces, and coordinated commercial interiors. Placement should account for traffic, moisture, substrate, lighting, and maintenance conditions. Verify the applicable technical ratings before selecting it for exterior, demanding, or frequently wet settings.
What Size And Pack Coverage Does Code40629 Provide?
Each vitrified tile measures 600x1200mm, and one pack contains two pieces. A single tile has a nominal area of 0.72 sq m, giving approximately 1.44 sq m of nominal coverage per pack. This calculation excludes cuts, breakage, pattern positioning, and wastage. Measure the complete surface and include the additional quantity recommended for the planned layout and site conditions.
Is This Glossy Marble Tile Suitable For Wet Floors?
Glossy describes the reflective appearance and does not independently confirm slip resistance or wet-floor suitability. Before installing Code40629 in bathrooms, kitchens, entrances, or other moisture-prone areas, check its documented technical rating and applicable requirements. Appropriate waterproofing, drainage, substrate preparation, adhesives, grout, movement joints, and professional installation methods may also be required for the intended setting.
How Should This Endless Grey Tile Be Installed And Cleaned?
Dry-lay the supplied pieces to confirm their sequence, orientation, pattern continuation, grout width, and edge cuts. Use adhesives, levelling methods, and movement joints suited to the substrate and application. For cleaning, remove loose grit before wiping with a soft mop or cloth and a mild tile-compatible cleaner. Avoid abrasive products that may affect the glossy surface.
Q: Ceramic vs vitrified marble-look? A: Ceramic is fired at lower temperature and more porous, so better for walls; vitrified is denser, harder and more water-resistant, so stronger for living room floors.
Marble-Look Tiles for Living Rooms: Luxury Without the MaintenanceQ: Which vitrified type is best for homes? A: Glazed for design range and easy care, full-body for living floors and busy kitchens, matt or textured for bathrooms to prevent slipping.
