FAQs
What Does Fluted Black Terrazzo Look Like?
Fluted Black Terrazzo has a charcoal-black base scattered with terrazzo-inspired fragments in orange, pink, green, cream, and grey. Vertical fluted channels add a repeated linear texture across the surface, while the matt finish limits strong reflections. Product images are indicative; lighting, screen settings, shadows, viewing angle, and production batches may affect the exact colors, texture definition, and tile-to-tile variation.
Is Fluted Black Terrazzo Made From Natural Terrazzo?
No. Fluted Black Terrazzo is a ceramic tile with a terrazzo-inspired decorative pattern; it is not natural terrazzo, stone, or a cement-based terrazzo slab. The colored fragments form part of the manufactured surface design. Select it according to its stated ceramic specifications and consider the listed wall-only use, matt finish, fluted texture, installation requirements, and maintenance needs when planning the project.
Where Can Fluted Black Terrazzo Be Used Indoors?
Fluted Black Terrazzo is intended for indoor wall applications, including feature walls, kitchen backsplashes, vanity surrounds, and selected bathroom walls. Its dark multicolor design can be used as a focused decorative surface. Final suitability depends on the substrate, moisture exposure, installation system, and local requirements. Ask a qualified installer to specify suitable adhesive, grout, waterproofing, movement joints, and edge treatment.
Can Fluted Black Terrazzo Be Installed On Floors?
No. Fluted Black Terrazzo is specified for wall use only and must not be installed as flooring. Its matt finish and textured appearance do not establish slip resistance, floor wear performance, or wet-floor suitability. Choose a properly rated floor tile for walking surfaces and verify the required performance characteristics for expected traffic, cleaning methods, barefoot use, and exposure to water before ordering.
Is Fluted Black Terrazzo Suitable For Bathroom Walls?
It may suit selected bathroom walls when installed within a correctly specified system. A ceramic tile and matt finish do not make the completed wall assembly waterproof. Confirm the substrate, waterproofing or tanking, adhesive, grout, sealant, movement joints, penetrations, ventilation, and local requirements with a qualified installer. The fluted channels should also be considered when planning cleaning and grout placement.
What Size And Pack Coverage Does Fluted Black Terrazzo Provide?
Each Fluted Black Terrazzo tile has a nominal size of 300x300mm, equal to 0.09 sq m before joint allowances. A package contains 11 pieces and provides approximately 0.99 sq m of nominal coverage. Order extra for cuts, breakage, pattern planning, future repairs, and site conditions. Confirm actual dimensions, usable quantity, batch consistency, and the installer’s wastage allowance before ordering.
How Should Fluted Black Terrazzo Tiles Be Maintained?
Clean Fluted Black Terrazzo with a soft brush, cloth, or non-abrasive pad and a mild cleaner suitable for ceramic surfaces. Pay attention to the fluted channels, where dust or residue may collect. Rinse and dry as directed, avoiding harsh acids, abrasive powders, metal tools, and unverified chemicals. Follow the manufacturer’s care guidance for the tile, grout, sealant, and adjacent materials.
