What those guides say
Headboard wall pairings: wood-look floor with fluted wall tiles; matte porcelain floor with stone-look wall; honed floor with marble-look wall slab behind the bed.
Discover the Best Tiles for BedroomUse 3D tiles on one focal surface (TV backdrop, sofa wall, entrance panel, dining partition, staircase wall or display niche) rather than covering the whole hall.
One defined area lets the texture stand out and keeps the hall balanced.
3D Tiles Design for Hall: Add Dimension to your Home Decor3D wall tiles come in ceramic, porcelain, vitrified and some stone-look bodies; ceramic is often lighter, porcelain/vitrified denser and in larger formats.
Weight and format differ by body.
3D Tiles Design for Hall: Add Dimension to your Home DecorDo not combine several unrelated 3D patterns on nearby walls, especially in compact rooms.
Strong textures compete and the room feels busy.
3D Tiles Design for Hall: Add Dimension to your Home DecorFiring temperatures: porcelain 1200-1250 degC, vitrified about 1200 degC, ceramic 1050-1100 degC; heat reduces porosity and bonds the glaze.
How Tiles are Made: Complete Process of Tile ManufacturingVitrified tiles fuse into a dense glass-like body with very low water absorption; standard ceramic is generally more porous.
How Tiles are Made: Complete Process of Tile ManufacturingNatural stone tiles are quarried, sliced, polished/honed/tumbled and cut; weak stones like marble get mesh backing and epoxy, and tiles are sorted by shade.
How Tiles are Made: Complete Process of Tile ManufacturingPick medium to dark shades of vitrified tile for hallways and passages to hide dust and scuff marks; bathrooms work better with smaller tiles for slope and drainage.
Which Tiles Are Best for Flooring: Tiles for Timeless FloorsTimeless floors: marble-look, wood-look, limestone, travertine, terrazzo or plain neutrals in beige, ivory, greige, soft grey, warm wood tones with subtle veining.
Which Tiles Are Best for Flooring: Tiles for Timeless FloorsUse textured tiles (ridges, grooves, matt) on sloped garden paths, entry steps and open courtyards where monsoon, watering and cleaning keep surfaces wet.

Avoid (2)
Do not ignore lighting on a feature wall; poor light flattens the texture, so add light to give depth.
Complete Guide to Feature Walls: Poster Tiles, Wooden Tiles & Stone CladdingGlazed ceramic wall tiles need a properly waterproofed surface with compatible adhesive and grout; tiles alone do not waterproof a wall, so watch shower joints, corners and pipe openings.
The Ultimate Guide to Choosing Ceramic Wall Tiles for Your Home
Do (1)
Use a matt marble-look or rustic matt tile (e.g. 24x24 in or 1x1 ft) for bathroom floors and keep glossy slabs for walls, for an anti-skid feel.

Guide 101: Which Type of Simple Kitchen Wall Tiles Designs Are Good for Busy Homeowners?
Cons (1)
Natural marble can stain or etch from acids, oils, cosmetics and hard water, so it needs sealing and pH-neutral cleaners in kitchens and bathrooms.

FAQs
What Defines The Scanalato Calacatta Design?
Code40563 combines a Calacatta-style white background with restrained grey veining and closely arranged vertical grooves. The pale marble-inspired palette keeps the surface visually light, while the raised linear texture introduces controlled architectural depth. This matt ceramic tile is intended exclusively for residential and commercial walls and cannot be installed on floors.
Where Can This Textured Wall Tile Be Installed?
This tile suits residential kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, bedrooms, living rooms, dining areas, and decorative feature walls. Commercial applications include boutiques, salons, restaurants, cafes, reception areas, offices, and hospitality interiors. Code40563 is classified strictly as wall only and cannot be used on floors in any residential or commercial setting.
Why Is The 300x300mm Format Important?
The 300x300mm size supports flexible installation across compact wall sections, niches, backsplashes, borders, and broader feature areas. Its square proportion helps the narrow vertical grooves continue in an orderly arrangement when multiple tiles are aligned. Code40563 is designed only for wall applications and cannot be used on floors.
How Do The Vertical Grooves And Matt Finish Affect The Surface?
The raised grooves create gentle highlights and shadows, giving the wall tactile dimension without an overly dramatic appearance. Its matt finish limits glare and keeps the white background, subtle grey veins, and linear relief understated. Code40563 is a wall-only ceramic tile and cannot be installed on residential or commercial floors.
Can Code40563 Be Installed On Floors?
No. Code40563 is specifically classified as a ceramic textured wall tile and cannot be used on floors. Its intended purpose is to introduce Calacatta-style veining and vertical architectural texture to interior walls. Use it for residential kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, or feature walls and suitable commercial decorative wall applications.
How Should This Matt Textured Tile Be Cleaned?
Clean Code40563 with a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge, water, and a mild cleaner suitable for ceramic surfaces. Wipe carefully along the grooves to remove dust, splashes, or residue, then dry the wall if required. Avoid harsh scrubbers that may affect the matt surface. This tile cannot be used on floors.
What Is Included In The 11Pc Pack?
Each package contains 11 pieces of Code40563 in the 300x300mm size. Buyers should calculate the complete wall area and include an appropriate allowance for cutting, groove alignment, or future replacement. Careful planning helps maintain a continuous vertical rhythm across residential and commercial walls. The tile cannot be used on floors.
