FAQs
What Is This Breccia-Look Tile Made From?
This breccia-look tile is manufactured from glazed vitrified material and has a glossy finish. Its decorative design combines deep red, rust, burgundy, and charcoal fragments with pale grey and white veins. The jasper, breccia, and marble appearances are surface effects rather than natural stone content. Installation products and preparation should follow the manufacturer’s guidance for the intended floor or wall application.
Where Can This GVT Marble Tile Be Used?
This tile is specified for both floor and wall applications. It can be considered for suitable feature areas, living spaces, entrances, decorative wall panels, reception zones, retail displays, and selected commercial interiors. Confirm Code40158’s documented rating for expected traffic, moisture exposure, exterior conditions, substrate requirements, and maintenance before selecting it for any particular residential or commercial location.
Is the Glossy Finish Suitable for Wet Floors?
The glossy finish reflects light and highlights the deep red fragments, dark background, and pale intersecting veins. However, glossy terminology does not establish slip resistance or wet-floor safety. Before installation in bathrooms, kitchens, entrances, balconies, or other moisture-prone areas, verify documented slip-resistance information and suitability, together with appropriate waterproofing, drainage, slope, substrate preparation, adhesive, and grout.
How Does the Red Jasper Breccia Pattern Look?
The pattern combines deep red, rust, burgundy, and charcoal areas arranged as irregular fractured fragments. Fine pale grey and white veins cross the darker surface, strengthening the breccia-inspired appearance. Lighting, reflections, viewing angle, grout color, screen settings, surrounding finishes, and production variation can influence the result, so inspect a current physical sample before ordering the required quantity.
What Are the Tile Size and Pack Details?
Each tile measures 600x1200mm, and one pack contains two pieces. Together, the tiles provide approximately 1.44 square metres of nominal coverage before cuts and wastage. Measure the complete floor or wall area and include additional material for openings, perimeter trimming, fragment distribution, accidental breakage, batch consistency, and spare pieces that may be required for future repairs or replacements.
How Should This Breccia-Look Tile Be Installed?
Dry-lay several tiles before fixing them to review fragment distribution, vein direction, pattern continuity, joint width, and cut positions. Use an adhesive suitable for glazed vitrified tiles, the prepared substrate, and the intended application. A qualified installer should plan the starting point, perimeter cuts, transitions, movement joints, grout selection, coverage, and curing according to the manufacturer’s technical guidance.
How Should the Glossy Surface Be Cleaned?
Remove loose dust with a soft cloth, brush, or suitable vacuum, then clean the tile using water or a pH-neutral product recommended for glazed vitrified surfaces. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh acids, sharp tools, and untested chemicals that could scratch or dull the glossy finish. Test unfamiliar cleaners on a concealed section and remove residue according to the product manufacturer’s guidance.
