FAQs
What Is This Tile Made From?
This product is classified as a full-body vitrified tile with a stated 15mm thickness and a low-reflection matt surface. Stone Beige describes its warm, finely grained visual character rather than natural stone material. Review the manufacturer’s technical information for load, traffic, water absorption, intended application, and installation requirements before specifying it for a particular floor, wall, residential, or commercial project.
Why Is the 15mm Thickness Important?
The 15mm thickness is a key dimension for planning installed levels, thresholds, transitions, door clearances, adhesive-bed depth, handling, cutting equipment, and substrate preparation. Thickness alone does not verify higher strength, heavy-load capacity, outdoor use, or commercial traffic suitability. These applications should be assessed using the manufacturer’s technical ratings, installation guidance, and the actual conditions of the project site.
Where Can This Tile Be Used?
Listed for floor and wall applications, this tile can be considered for living areas, kitchens, dining spaces, passages, offices, shops, commercial interiors, and feature walls. For bathrooms, entrances, balconies, exterior zones, or heavily used floors, verify its slip-resistance, wet-area, exterior-use, and traffic ratings. The 15mm thickness must also be coordinated with adjoining surfaces and finished levels.
What Are the Tile Size and Pack Details?
Each tile measures 600x600mm and has a specified 15mm thickness. Two tiles are supplied per pack, providing approximately 0.72 square metres of nominal coverage before cutting and wastage. Calculate the order from accurate site measurements and include an allowance for the laying pattern, edge cuts, breakage, batch matching, and spare pieces for possible future replacement requirements.
How Does the Stone Beige Matt Surface Look?
The tile displays a warm stone-beige tone with closely distributed fine grains that add subtle visual texture without forming a strong pattern. Its matt finish keeps reflections controlled and gives the surface an understated appearance. Lighting, grout color, nearby materials, screen settings, and batch variation may influence shade perception, so review a current physical sample under the planned lighting before ordering.
How Should This 15mm Tile Be Installed?
Professional installation is recommended because the 15mm thickness affects handling, cutting, adhesive-bed planning, finished levels, thresholds, and transitions. The substrate should be clean, dry, stable, level, and properly prepared. A qualified installer must select the adhesive, trowel size, back-buttering method, joint width, movement joints, layout, and cutting equipment according to manufacturer instructions and actual site conditions.
How Should the Tile Be Cleaned and Maintained?
Sweep or vacuum loose dirt before cleaning the tile with water and a pH-neutral product suitable for vitrified surfaces. Avoid strong acids, abrasive scrubbers, wax-based coatings, and untested chemicals that could alter the matt finish or grout. Wipe spills promptly, follow the cleaning-product instructions, and test unfamiliar solutions on a concealed section before applying them throughout the installation.
Q: Which vitrified type is best for homes? A: Glazed for design range and easy care, full-body for living floors and busy kitchens, matt or textured for bathrooms to prevent slipping.
Types of Vitrified Tiles and How to Choose the Right OneQ: Are skirting tiles needed in bathrooms and kitchens? A: Yes, they protect the lower wall from moisture, spills and cleaning; use smooth easy-wipe tiles in kitchens and ensure fixing, sealing and waterproofing.
9 Skirting Tile Designs That Give Indian Homes a More Finished LookQ: Which tiles suit Bengaluru's weather? A: Vitrified and porcelain, which resist moisture and stains and suit both indoor and outdoor areas given the humid-to-dry swings.
Best Tile Showroom In Bengaluru - MYTYLESQ: What to check before buying bedroom tiles? A: Material, dimensions, thickness, finish, breaking strength, abrasion/stain resistance, slip rating, shade variation; verify batch number and buy extra for cuts and repairs.
Discover the Best Tiles for BedroomQ: What tile size for bathrooms? A: Larger wall tiles (300x450, 300x600) look open and modern; smaller or medium anti-skid floor tiles help grip and drainage, and shower floors may need smaller tiles for slope.
A Complete Guide to Tile Sizes for Every Room of Your HouseQ: Are small tiles suitable for balconies? A: Small and medium tiles suit balconies because they handle slopes, edges and drainage zones better; textured or anti-skid finish is important and slope must be planned to prevent waterlogging.
